Faurecia is to locate a new US$30m door assembly plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee, creating 143 jobs.
"I want to thank Faurecia for choosing to locate its new facility in Spring Hill," said Tennessee Governor, Bill Haslam. "Tennessee's automotive sector continues to be one of our strongest industries with more than 135,000 workers across the State.
"The creation of these 140 positions in Maury County will help Tennessee not only lead in the automotive sector, but in the creation of high-quality manufacturing jobs." "
For his part, Faurecia Interior Systems North America president, Donald Hampton added: "We are excited to expand our presence in North America to the Spring Hill community of Tennessee.
"Partnerships with community leadership and the motivated and skilled workforce in this State, made this opportunity possible. I know together we will continue to deliver the best in high-quality products to our customers."
The announcement was made in collaboration with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, which seeks to attract new corporate investment to the State.
